BOEM Issues PSN for Wind Energy Leases off California Coast

On May 31, 2012, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (“BOEM”) released a proposed sale notice (“PSN”) for the sale of commercial wind energy leases on the Outer Continental Shelf off the shore of California in the Humboldt Wind Energy Area (“WEA”) and the Morro Bay WEA. 87 Fed. Reg. 32,443. BOEM proposes to auction leases for five lease areas—three within the Morro Bay WEA and two within the Humboldt WEA.

BOEM has identified numerous issues for which it seeks comments. Comments on the PSN are due by August 1, 2022.
